then mixing it with book-scans and collaging it together for an abstract feel. All this covered in a low-value pink pantone for a combo of old-book/skin look."

I found this Hand drawn animation by Geoff McFetridge via Book by it's cover where a zine of his was reviewed.

Plain pencil drawings on paper! Isn't that plenty. It looks like it could've been made a long time ago and his way of thinking really smells like old school animation ideas but in a really good way. Not to say the ideas are old... but when I go to animation festivals few people seem to be playing this kind of games anymore.

Wrapped up in books

Book by its cover is a blog project by Julia Rothman who pictures and writes about beautiful books she has collected. Tons of interesting children’s books, handmade books and comics, as well as design and fine art books. So many I would like to get my hands on!

Tuhru has been collabrating with Swedish group Antarktiis on a book project for some time now. We will try and get it out by the end of this year. The working title is Second Thumb and it's a semi-narrative, fullcolor picture book. If you know any interesting publishers we might like to know about, do tell.

Sunnuntaina 3.6. Turun kauppatori muuttui olohuoneeksi osana Turku 2011 -kipinäjahtia. Kaupunkilaiset saivat kokeilla sirkusta ja istuutua sohvalle piirrettäväksi. Piirtäjinä Simo, Ami, Elina ja Anna.

Last Sunday we were drawing portraits of city dwellers in Turku marketplace. The marketplace was turned into a cozy living room as a part of a city happening.
